Far Eastern University will represent the Philippines in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Global Business Challenge in Mumbai, India on August 4-8, 2014 after a team from the FEU Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance (IABF) was declared CIMA National Champion.
Team “K-Project” bested teams from fifty schools and the regional championship was held last June 20 at the Century Part Sheraton.
According to its official website, the CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business competition for undergraduates around the world, designed to bring out the best in the young business leaders of tomorrow.
The members of the winning team are all incoming 5th year Bachelor of Science in Accountancystudents namely John Arvi V. Armildez, Reeva A. Calapatia, Luisa Alyanna L. Gloria and Elline Isabelle P. Pasion. The team was mentored by Prof. Earl Borgona, with coaching support from Profs. Ramil Baldres, Vic Gudani, Jennifer Buen and IABF Associate Dean Gerald Villar.
“K-Project” was awarded trophies and a Gestetner copying machine. FEU’s previous best finish was in 2011 when it finished third place.
